This was just bad business. I worked on trust. I have no recourse. Good slap in the face to get back to my nasty 11 page contract and 50% up front.

The job I interviewed for on Saturday has no benefits but it is work out of the house. I am very excited about it. There is a company 5 minutes down the road from here which I have wanted to work with since 2001 that I submitted a resume to yesterday. The only question will be whether or not the recruiters give up on me if the phone is disconnected on Monday.

Sounds like you need to write some letters of demand to your cleints or at the very least remove the source code from their control until they pay for it. Legal title should rest with you until its paid for.
If you were to delete their applications would they pay in a hurry?

That sucks... especially the car keys part. Kids usually think a *temporary* lapse of power is cool, at least my kids do. Hopefully you won't have to test that theory! Good luck...
