Hurray! Blogger loses another one! Tom Maszerowski has moved My Likes and Dislikes from Blogger to Maszman Speaks using WordPress. Way to go!

On a similar note, we moved Aspergerteen from Blogger to Aspergerteen.com using WordPress but we haven’t started posting again yet.

I wish I could get Katie to move her blog to wordpress. She’s got huge troll problems that would be easily taken care of on any system other than blogger. But she says she just doesn’t care.

Blogger is decent for a free alternative, I suppose. I’m not sure it’s worth moving from blogger to the free wp blogs.

Hosting is only $2.99 per month. And you get a lot for that.

Can I just say that I love the subscription feature on your blog? How’d you do that and how can we get every blog to do that?

5. djuggler - November 13, 2006

Thanks! The subscription part is done with the “Subscribe to comments” WordPress plugin: http://txfx.net/code/wordpress/subscribe-to-comments/ Literally, you download it into the plugins directory (step 1), activate it with one click on the plugins screen (step 2), and well that’s it.. you can optionally go to the configuration screen and do some neat stuff but I never bothered. It is one of my favorite plugins.

Ooh, nice. I’m going to do that right now.

[…] I just put in a new “subscribe” feature to my comments, via djuggler. I’ve been admiring that feature on his blog for ages now. I wish every blog had it, and that’s even more reasons why people should upgrade from blogger. […]
