The protein is called von Willebrand factor. If the von Willebrand factor is working properly, it helps your blood clot." One of the symptoms is frequent nosebleeds. Calling it a "disease" makes it sound scary and contagious when it is neither. Noah actually has Von Willebrand’s Disease:
