Ambivalence

I am struck by ambivalence over the multiple paths I have to walk. Each needs to be done and some are time sensitive meaning I must prioritize them because not all the time sensitive ones will get done during business hours today.

I need a diversion to bring my mind back to focus so I will put together Amy’s sand and water table. Watch the big kids spend hours making mud!

A trickle in the dam

Some referrals are starting to come through. Interestingly enough, the worthwhile ones are coming from overseas. Hopefully I can price appropriately to gain their business and not kill myself in the process. Underpricing can be as destructive as overpricing.

Back in the chair

Alright (one of my favorite words to hear Amy speak). I’ve picked up my friend’s computer and will be making virus removals and repairs. This in conjunction with the virus removals I’ve done for the businesses is helping me develop paperwork to make this a documented and efficient process. Maybe I can do lots of these!

Koolaid Drink of Choice

Both bank accounts are drained (await $100 from paypal to reach one of them, awaiting $175 in checks from a client, awaiting $200 in rebates from Motorola–otherwise that’s it).

No milk in the fridge. The kids are drinking Koolaid for breakfast today. Must scrounge $10 to pay for Tommy’s prescription today.

In TN? Comcast Owes You Money!

According to the Tennessee Department of Revenue in these “Procedures for claiming refunds of sales tax” Comcast (or other ISPs-check with yours) may owe you money.

House bill 3484 signed into law on May 18, 2004, established time deadlines for claiming refunds of sales and use tax collected by Internet service providers (“ISPs”) on the sale of Internet access following the Tennessee Court of Appeals decision in Prodigy Services Corporation, Inc. v. Ruth E. Johnson, Commissioner.
Consumers seeking a refund must submit a written request to their ISP by July 17, 2004. Consumers may seek refunds extending back to December 1, 2000,…
Based on a case decided by the Tennessee courts, the Department of Revenue has indicated that internet access is no longer considered a taxable “telecommunication service” under Tennessee sales tax law.
Some companies, such as AOL, never charged a states sales tax, therefore, no refunds for its customers.
Get your money if your owed!

A New Day! Let’s start the day off with a PayPa…

A New Day!

Let’s start the day off with a PayPal donation link:

This Morning

Woke at 2am and again at 4am but neither time could I pull myself from bed but I was close. I want to return to bed now but I cannot and will not! My stomach is in knots. I have to get some money in my account today. I am considering scraping up change in the house just to make a deposit. I fear the bank closing my account worse than most anything else.

Today I have plans to visit the IRS office. This should be interesting.

Time to rouse Tommy.
