Bush also said high taxes on the rich are a failed strategy because “the really rich people figure out how to dodge taxes anyway.”
The original AP article. Political Wire’s Quote of the Day which actually puts it in context.

A New Day!

Let’s start the day off with a PayPal donation link:

This Morning

I want cameras in my house!

Woke this morning at 6am and walked the dog. Of course she eventually got bored and started to yip so I brought her inside with intent to take her right back out. Instead I got to brewing my coffee and she made her a breakfast snack. Fortunately I stopped her before she chowed down too much. After I get a paycheck from somewhere I’m going to lease her for 3 days and she is going to remain by my side until she learns that stuff goes outside!

I had intended to have a snack with the wife and when she started to drift off I was going to work through the nite. Blast if I didn’t fall asleep! At least I woke earlier than usual.

Amy, Molly and I go for a walk. We get to the end of the street and Amy walks up to a tree, covers her eyes with both hands, leans toward the tree, and counts to five.

Where does she learn this stuff?! (television and siblings)

I suppose our schools could be worse: School’s lessons full of errors

Lockyer said the curriculum consisted of a slim workbook riddled with errors, including:

  • The United States has 53 states but the “flag has not yet been updated to reflect the addition of the last three states” — Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico.
  • World War II began in 1938 and ended in 1942.
  • There are two houses of Congress — the Senate and the House, and “one is for Democrats and the other is for the Republicans, respectively.”

OUTSOURCING JOBS REACHES NEW HEIGHTS

Congress today announced that the Office of President of the United States will be outsourced to overseas interests as of September 30th, the end of this fiscal year. The move is being made to save $400K a year in salary, a record $521 Billion in deficit expenditures and related overhead. “The cost savings will be quite significant” …
“I am excited to serve in this position,” Mr. Singh stated in an exclusive interview. “Working nights will let me keep my day job at the American Express call center. I always knew I could be President someday.”

President does comedy and scores laughs

ok. Our news casters wear earpieces so that the director, producer et al can speak into their ear. Shouldn’t our president have advisers speaking directly into his head? Perhaps just enough to say, “Ok George! Shutup!”

Of course I could see him holding his head nodding, noddling, say ‘yes. ok. that’s good’ then addressing the crowd “my answer is….” Then saying something like, “No, all my thoughts are my own.”

Wahoo! I programmed and made go progress. More to come but I need to balance tasks. I’ve started putting information into FutureStep and need to continue. These things are time consuming. I am ready to make sales calls but its lunch time.

This Morning

This is planning day. It should be a day of rejuvenation and cleansing. Instead it will be a half day of horseback riding and then probably family social needs. It needs to be house cleaning, computer work for clients, office work, home repair, and gardening.

Testing Meme Propagation In Blogspace:

Add Your Blog!

This posting is a community experiment that tests how a meme, represented by this blog posting, spreads across blogspace, physical space and time. It will help to show how ideas travel across blogs in space and time and how blogs are connected. It may also help to show which blogs (and aggregation sites) are most influential in the propagation of memes. The dataset from this experiment will be public, and can be located via Google (or Technorati) by doing a search for the GUID for this meme (below).

Please join the test by adding your blog (see instructions, below) and inviting your friends to participate — the more the better. The data from this test will be public and open; others may use it to visualize and study the connectedness of blogspace and the propagation of memes across blogs.

The GUID for this experiment is:

as098398298250swg9e98929872525389t9987898tq

98wteqtgaq62010920352598gawst

The above GUID enables anyone to easily search Google or other search engines for all blogs that participate in this experiment, once they have indexed the sites that participate, which may take several days or weeks. To locate the full data set, just search for any sites that contain this GUID.

Anyone is free to analyze the data of this experiment. Please publicize your analysis of the data, and/or any comments by adding comments onto the original post (see URL above). (Note: it would be interesting to see a geographic map or a temporal animation, as well as a social network map of the propagation of this meme.)

INSTRUCTIONS

To add your blog to this experiment, copy this entire posting to your blog, and then answer the questions below, substituting your own information, below, where appropriate. Other than answering the questions below, please do not alter the information, layout or format of this post in order to preserve the integrity of the data in this experiment (this will make it easier for searchers and automated bots to find and analyze the results later).
