Student: “I could have been great”
Master: “what are you comparing yourself against?”
Student: “I can do better.”
Master: “To do better, you must first make mistakes.”
Student: “Why is my life hard?”
Master: “Who are you asking?”
Student: I’ve given all I have to give.
Master: What will you do now?
Student: “I am at a crossroads and I have no map.”
Master: “So many choices! Will you go back for an old map? Sit and wish you had a map? Or pick a path and create your own map?”
Student: I cannot do this.
Master: Will you do it anyway?
Student: What do you do when you are too tired to continue working?
Master: How hungry are you?
Student: My life should have been so much different.
Master: Perhaps you would enjoy the life you have more if you spent less time living the life you don’t have.
Student: Every time I get my head above water, another wave comes crashing down upon me.
Master: Maybe you should get out of the water.

Student: I am capable of so much more.
Master: Show me.
Student: I can’t do this.
Master: You will do this.
Student: I will do all that I can do today and nothing more.
Master: Who will do the rest?
Student: I have failed.
Master: But have you given up?
Student: The boat is sinking so fast all I have time to do is bail water.
Master: Perhaps you should let go of the boat and swim for a while.
