This Morning

Woke at 3am to Michael (amz). That’s such a good movie! I lay in bed fighting the urge to go back to sleep and rose in time to walk the dog (who went to the door asking to be let out, did her biz and came straight back in!) and still get to work by 3:30. As anxious I as I want to be, getting up this early really keeps my stress level down.

Despite the nature of this day, I think things will go well.

To much to do. Too many wants versus to many needs.

This Morning

Wife very stressed. I’m stressed. I’ve yelled at the kids. She’s yelling. We’ve bothed reminded each other to stop (we don’t want yelling under any circumstances). Folks will be here in an hour. Still 2 days of cleaning to achieve. I need to bathe. Dog school at 3pm. Possibly D&D tonight. Still have 20 hours of programming to do on a single project and many hours on others. Must prepare for traffic court tomorrow to fight that bogus stop sign citation.

So I’m using a Quad I task to disguise my Quad IV actions under the rationalization that the Quad IV must happen before the Quad I can. It is making me feel good but I really need some sleep.

My most comfortable favorite ball cap surfaced for 5 minutes yesterday then vanished. We have some wicked tricksters in this house.

These priorities are in relation to this weekend.

I just wrote an article for Spy Journal Blog Tips discussing how to use <abbr> and <acronym> as Terreus frequestly does. I’ll slip into one of the seven deadly sins and exude a little pride in the write-up and encourage each of you to take a look.

It’s 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4° C) outside right now. Very crisp. There is a small sliver of ultra bright white moon in the sky. The stars are extra sharp and out in mass. The sky seems clear of all pollution and obstruction. As I walked the inlaw’s dog (here for the weekend), I could not keep my eyes from gazing at the sky. It felt as though I could reach up and pluck stars from the darkness.

I love it when the air feels so crisp! I am not so thrilled when the heat pump goes out as it noisily did last night.

I looked at a conversion van today and it was just like that car commercial where the big guy tears up.

Tommy and Noah fixing a couple of computer monitors for me. I think they missed something because after their handwork the monitors didn’t do much. 

I just had the most interesting phone call.

Woman on phone: “Hello?”

Me: “Hello.”

Woman: “Hello?”

Me: “Hello!”

Woman: “Hello? Is there anybody there?”

Me: Frustrated with Cingular, desperately moving phone to try to get better signal. “Yes, I’m here. Can you hear me now?!”

Woman: “Hello?” Click.

Voicemail Computer Voice: “If you would like to delete this message, press 7. To Save it, press 9.”

Yes, I was was really checking my messages on a call from 10 hours ago.

Student: I spent a lot today.

Master: Work hard today for what you will buy tomorrow. If you buy today with what you will earn tomorrow then you will have no time to use what you bought.

This Morning

I’m a bit stressed today. I really need to not go into the office and work on other focuses but we have to deliver today. It’s like all my milestones are falling on the same day. We have soccer tonight and guests arriving tonight to boot. The guests will be in the mountains and have said they won’t come by until Sunday but last time we had a surprise visit on Saturday. My wonderful wife has been working so hard to get the house in order.

I need a couple of new monitors downstairs. The two I have are getting so dark that at times I can barely read them. That has to be impacting my productivity.
