  • Progress!

Wahoo! I’m kick tail! Much coding done. Unfortunately, much more needs to be done.

  • Brrrr

25°F (-3°C per onlineconversion.com) right now. This house needs better doors, windows and insulation. I should be under the covers!

  • Hoo Hoo

I love working late at night! I just wish my body was more up to it. I lack the stamina I had in college (except in some areas..ahem!). It’s so quiet at night and the phone doesn’t ring to distract. I get so much work done! Unfortunately, I’ll probably pay for this allnighter over the next several days.

Virtual Island Sells For $26,500 real US Dollars

The MMORPG Project Entropia has just announced that its first treasure island sale via Auction has gone for a grand total of US$26,500.

  • Touch the Sky

Last night in the Asperger’s Support Group a mother recounted a tale of her son’s daredevil activities and I had to chuckle to myself because it sounded so similar to my attempt to touch the sky.

I was probably 5 in Wilmington, NC. It’s a quaint little oceanside town of 60,000. Good people. Our house was a one story house with a nice sized front and backyard. The front yard had a huge Magnolia tree with one branch that had a horizontally split in it. My brother and I could put the handgranade shaped seed pods into the split and move the branch to make it devour the cone. We called it The Alligator.

I have always been a climber. Wouldn’t stay in my crib. Climbed down the side of Grandfather Mountain. No tree could stop me. No precipice could frighten me.

One day between the ages of 3 and 6 I took it upon myself to “touch the sky.” I climbed that magnolia tree until my little head popped out of the top. The branches must have barely been supporting me. Fortunately a sharp tone from my mother brought me back down. The story from the support group told of the child demanding that his mother rent a crane to get him out of his tree! (She talked him down)

  • Snow!

We have snow! Well, dandruff in the air and you can barely see it but it’s still snow!

Makes me want to run outside and spend 3 days preping the sled hill (removing roots, stumps and other obsticles).

  • More Fly By

Wow! I just watched Time fly by. I swear today the Earth is spinning faster than it normally does.

  • Big Brother

A portrait depicting President Bush from afar turns out to be made up of many smaller pictures of monkeys caused the manager of the Chelsea Market public space to threaten “Get this work down or I’m gonna arrest you.” Read more

All hail the administration! Say nothing bad!

  • Cool Fly By

I was watching out the back window and a hawk swooped down and flew about 5 feet off the ground through our trees then whooshed up to light on one of the Oaks. It caused quite a stir in the community. I’m not certain if it scored any small fowl but it was a beauty to watch!

  • From the Mouths of Babes

Amy: “Thank you Dad. Thank you.”

Tell you what, nothing feels better.

Dad: “Noah, don’t go in that bedroom.”

    Noah: Goes in bedroom anyway.

    Dad: Loses temper.

    Noah: Cries.

Tell you what, nothing feels worse.

    A New Day!

Let’s start the day off with a PayPal donation link:

    This Morning

I had to grab some zzs last night. I woke at 2am and almost pulled myself from bed. Woke again at 4am and could tell the fire was out but could not rise. Finally rose at 6am but I am not kicking myself. I feel rested.

Today shall be more intense programming and documentation. I have 13 communities to build by tomorrow.

  • Of Grasshoppers

Student: Why does the rain hide the sun?

Master: So the flowers close while they are washed.
