If anyone (particularly in the Knoxville area) is considering throwing away or recycling an old laptop and would prefer to see it put to use, I want to play with it. The Maker in me is stir crazy. In the same vein, I need a treadmill (specifically, the motor).
You could “make” some walls in our bedroom and a door that latches. You could “make” a mower out of all the dead ones on the driveway. You could “make” a functioning downstairs bathroom. You could “make” shelves in the girls’ closet or the study. You could “make” a front patio or back porch. Shall I continue?
Do broken laptops without an OS count?
Absolutely.
I’ve got a Dell p3 in my basement. It had xp home on it for a while, but I tried to reinstall it once and Micro$oft said nope. I didn’t fight it because, like I said, something is physically broken with it (it shuts off if you don’t hold it right, etc). I’ve got another Dell about the same age, maybe newer, with the screen almost broken off.
