Y’know, I was born here and my fathers side of the family has been here since before the civil war (we fought for the union ftw!) and I want the world to know that you can be a Tennessean and not be a bigot or right wing nutjob. I have friends who tell me the reason I am so often frustrated is that I’m a blue person living in a red state. I don’t see why I should have to leave the state I love because of them. I think, until San Francisco becomes feasible, that I will stay and fight the good fight.
Think of yourselves as liberal missionaries, trying to spread enlightment and compassion to the “savages”, lol.
Oddly enough, I just moved here from San Francisco!
While I think it is in my blood to live in Tennessee (generation after generation all in East Tennessee), I am not always happy about the politics that go down here. That’s exactly why my State needs me to stay. I will be the balance in the far right world (and far left for that matter).
Husband to one wonderful wife, father to five fantastic children, juggler, technophile, freelancer, DIYer, adventurer, volunteer, KO4NFA (2m/70cm), WRMJ225 (GMRS)
