My goal is to awaken every morning at 4:30am. I am getting closer to achieving that goal. Today I awoke at 4:22am. Wide awake! Even rose from bed and moved about. BUT, the fatal flaw, I returned to the bed for "just a few minutes." I left the bed to begin my day at 6:30am. Two hours of potenial productivity slept away.
When I wake up before I know I’m going to be ready to get up, I reach for my kindle and just read for a bit. The light helps me wake up (I turn off the filter in the morning) and it motivates my creative side. Also, if I get sucked into the book and don’t get out of bed for several hours, at least that time isn’t totally wasted 😉
