Ramblings, often stream of conscious, journaling the events of my life.

  • Time’s up!

Not even sure I have time to get to the courthouse on time now. I wonder if they would excuse a speeding ticket to make court on time.

  • Weekend Visitors

My folks and sister were in town this weekend. The kids love getting to see them! They also love the tons of candy that was dropped on them as a Halloween gift. We really had a great visit. I wish it could happen more frequently.

  • Found Book

Sabrina, call me about picking up this book.

  • Tom and Jerry

I’m happy to see that the normally elusive cat is hanging out in the kitchen despite the morning traffic. It’s practically allowing itself to be walked over.

I’m a little disturbed for the reason it is so interested in the kitchen. Apparently the cold weather has already brought our winter batch of mice in. I was sitting here typing and saw the cat wrestling with the mouse. Unfortunately it got away. I am thrilled that this cat has decided to earn its keep.

  • Progress! (but not quite enough)

Much programming was had! I have several hours of administrative work to do before my day can begin but the day is already beginning. Stress stomach ho!

  • A New Day! Let’s start the day off with a PayPa…

    A New Day!

Let’s start the day off with a PayPal donation link:

    This Morning

Woke at 3am to Michael (amz). That’s such a good movie! I lay in bed fighting the urge to go back to sleep and rose in time to walk the dog (who went to the door asking to be let out, did her biz and came straight back in!) and still get to work by 3:30. As anxious I as I want to be, getting up this early really keeps my stress level down.

Despite the nature of this day, I think things will go well.

  • Metling Brain

To much to do. Too many wants versus to many needs.

  • Double take

The winning searches that found my blog for “made ya look twice!” today are:

Yahoo: teenages wear wet shirt show nipple (I’m no longer in the results)

    and

    Yahoo: asperger submarines (position 11!)

Today’s pick: President Bush Protemp (position 4!)

  • Obsession and watery eyes

I think my wife and The Zero Boss are having an affair.

    A New Day!

    This Morning

Wife very stressed. I’m stressed. I’ve yelled at the kids. She’s yelling. We’ve bothed reminded each other to stop (we don’t want yelling under any circumstances). Folks will be here in an hour. Still 2 days of cleaning to achieve. I need to bathe. Dog school at 3pm. Possibly D&D tonight. Still have 20 hours of programming to do on a single project and many hours on others. Must prepare for traffic court tomorrow to fight that bogus stop sign citation.

  • Quad I or IV?

So I’m using a Quad I task to disguise my Quad IV actions under the rationalization that the Quad IV must happen before the Quad I can. It is making me feel good but I really need some sleep.

  • Poltergeist

My most comfortable favorite ball cap surfaced for 5 minutes yesterday then vanished. We have some wicked tricksters in this house.

  • Styling Your Site with Abbreviations and Acronyms

I just wrote an article for Spy Journal Blog Tips discussing how to use <abbr> and <acronym> as Terreus frequestly does. I’ll slip into one of the seven deadly sins and exude a little pride in the write-up and encourage each of you to take a look.

I highly recommend anyone doing any time of web publishing get a decent an html quick reference (amz).

  • Brisk

It’s 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4° C) outside right now. Very crisp. There is a small sliver of ultra bright white moon in the sky. The stars are extra sharp and out in mass. The sky seems clear of all pollution and obstruction. As I walked the inlaw’s dog (here for the weekend), I could not keep my eyes from gazing at the sky. It felt as though I could reach up and pluck stars from the darkness.

I love it when the air feels so crisp! I am not so thrilled when the heat pump goes out as it noisily did last night.
