Bush’s grandfather finanaced Hilter

Thought I’d post this just because this link will spread like wildfire. Looks like the Bush family fortune may have been established by an American company profitting by backing Nazi Germany.

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

His business dealings, which continued until his company’s assets were seized in 1942 under the Trading with the Enemy Act, has led more than 60 years later to a civil action for damages being brought in Germany against the Bush family by two former slave labourers at Auschwitz…

…new documents, many of which were only declassified last year, show that even after America had entered the war and when there was already significant information about the Nazis’ plans and policies, he worked for and profited from companies closely involved with the very German businesses that financed Hitler’s rise to power. It has also been suggested that the money he made from these dealings helped to establish the Bush family fortune and set up its political dynasty.

More than 60 years after Prescott Bush came briefly under scrutiny at the time of a faraway war, his grandson is facing a different kind of scrutiny but one underpinned by the same perception that, for some people, war can be a profitable business.

The US planned to use terror on the people – in 1962

A lot of people believe that the 9/11 attacks were orchestrated by Bush and Company. Even today I read that the Port Authority had wanted to demolish the Twin Towers for years because they were effectively condemned buildings. Before 9/11 I had joked that Bush wanted to bring the Cold War back for his father. Recent declassified military documents add fuel to the conspiracy theories.

New York, NY (PRWEB) September 7th, 2006 – As reported by ABC News, stunning military documents codenamed “Operation Northwoods” were declassified in recent years and show how in 1962, the top US military leaders planned an operation to create terror attacks against its own cities and kill US citizens.

The documents state that through the fabrication of false evidence, the US would blame Cuba and gain public support for an unpopular war against Castro. They included developing a fake Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, the use of airplanes, and much more.

These types of connivery by the government are called "false flag operations." You can read more at The National Security Archive.

Terrorism is not the act; but the result

TSA, the tool of Osama, continues to terrorize American tourists by denying certain liquids and gels be carried onto airplanes. Toothpaste is out; personal lubricants are in. You heard right. Grab your KY or Astroglide and take your stinky breath to the airport. TSA’s message? You’re going to get screwed flying in America and no one is going to kiss you.

Top 10 Pot Studies Government Regrets Funding

This floated up on Popurls today. Warning! Popurls.com is geek crack! If you read Popurls, you could potentially lose days off your life without even realizing it. I cannot be held responsible for broken relationships and financial hardships resulting from introducing you to Popurls. Popurls is indeed a gateway drug, a portal mind you, to more intense, more serious sources of information. If you or someone you love is an information addict, keep away from Popurls!

From Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Cannabis, Top 10 Pot Studies Government Wished It Had Never Funded. Follow the link for more detailed information. I find it interesting how economics and politics play into issues such as marijuana. Alcohol is far more damaging than cannabis yet it remains legal. I find information like this interesting to read because I believe we waste huge amounts of money by keeping marijuana illegal for little benefit. It is legal in Denver and taxed in TN.

Senator Ted Stevens Technophobe – Outted!

Just because you don’t understand it, doesn’t mean you shouldn’t embrace it!

There’s a bipartisan Senate bill that would actually do something good for a change. S. 2590 would create a Google-style public database that would show who gets government money through contracts and grants. But a single anonymous senator has blocked the bill. [Source]

You guessed it! Looks like Senator Ted Stevens. You might recall Senator Ted Stevens as the guy who explained the Internet as "a series of tubes." He is in charge of regulating the Internet and Ted Stevens does not even get it!

It is worth noting that your government may not be living up to your expectations because the elected officials, the ones your vote or lack of vote put into office, are a bunch of old coots. And spare a minute and a half to see John McCain make Jon Stewart spew his coffee while discussing Ted Stevens. (The 3:35 version of the same interview.)

Redstate has further commentary regarding the Pork Busters legislation.

The legislation, also known as the “Federal Funding, Accountability, & Transparency Act”, would create an online, searchable database of federal earmarks. The database would list which member of congress obtained the earmark, how much the earmark is for, what the purpose is for, which local contractors are involved, etc. [Source]

Feed the conspiracists

Cathy likes to joke about my conspiracy-mindedness. I like to makeup conspiracy theories as jokes. Here is some fuel on rigged elections. The comments make some valid points about why this would be hard to do in practice such as the injected number of votes not matching the recorded number of voters.

I really like the comment that suggests we get a vote receipt like an atm receipt. When the polls close all votes are published on a website. You could then match your vote receipt to the published vote to see if it differed. If it differed then you could dispute it. This would not allow for changing votes because you are reporting that it is different than the information printed on the vote receipt, not that it is different from your memory.
