Student: Am I forever changed?
Master: With great consistency.
It’s my reality
Everyday I come a little bit more to terms with the fact that I’m alone and the rest of you are simply constructs of my imagination. I’m sure this creates some very large problems for each of you on a quantum level but I cannot be held accountable for that since you don’t exist. That is all.
What’s that smell?
Dear Deodorant Companies, please quit watering down your formulas to try to sell us on your higher price clinical brands. Your watering down habit has found itself into the clinical brands or your formulas just don’t work. I have a household full of teenagers right now. I can attest that all of you, Gillette, Axe, Secret, Right Guard, etc. stink! (actually I think its the teens that smell)
That’s enough of a rant. I just had to clear the air. Thx.

Update: Today was a good day for wildlife in the yard. This morning Amy found a frog on the van. It looked like a pebble in the driveway.
Only 1 goal today
I have but one goal today: get my 60 GB hard drive successfully cloned to my new 500 GB hard drive. Ugh.
While drives format and get scanned for errors, I’m consuming more videos on running effective Google Adwords campaigns.
Burying the past
I just went through a box circa 1999-2001. It contained newspapers that were so large they felt awkward in my hands compared to today’s tiny paper. I recycled stacks of business cards of names that brought back interesting memories but will never be contacted again. I tossed papers of a defunct business which reminded me of the many things I had my hands in. I did some neat things back then. I found an uncashed check for $1 from 2000. It feels good to get that stuff out of the house.
Update: I filled up a 30 gallon trash bag plus another 13 gallon trash bag with papers I’ve been holding onto from 1999-2001. The recycle can is full! That was cathartic.
Into the depths
Somewhere, buried deep in a box long forgotten in some dark corner of a long lost closet is a container of Novus plastic polish. I’ve promised the children I’ll fix all their scratched CDs, DVDs, and games. Today I don my adventurer’s hat, throw a whip over my shoulder, brush away some cobwebs and disappear into the darkness. If no one has heard from me by Monday, send search and rescue!
We made the cut!
I’m very excited about this! I received the call today confirming 4 tickets.
Child Reading Prodigy!
My preschooler just brought me all the vowels from the refrigeration! And ONLY the vowels. I was stunned and amazed until I realized all the vowels are red. That boy sure loves to group things. I see a future scientist.
Today is a busy day
Today we have pre-school orientation. That’s when you take the child into the school, let him get really excited, then announce, "time to leave!" We will have to follow it with something fun that doesn’t involve the outdoors because Knoxville is a giant mudpit right now.
Today I am trying to put the wraps on reinstalling the operating system on a laptop for a friend of mine along with security patches, antivirus, antimalware, etc.
Today I renew my battle with Knox County School’s transportation department to return the bus stop to the safe pickup location that I fought for 3 years to establish and has been the stop for 5 years.
This evening I will be juggling at an event at the Jewish Community Center on Deane Hill. I’d like to spend the day preparing.
Tomorrow I may be downtown to show support FOR health care reform and a public option which means today I should make a few posters.
Can you breed a dog with a cat?
I only ask whether or not you can breed a dog with a cat because my dog swears she is on the wrong side of the door.
Now that’s what I’m talking about! (btw where’s Brock?!)
Road work in the hood
My Cat Hunts in the Fire Swamp!
There was a R.O.U.S. on the stoop this morning. She’s either been to the Fire Swamp or Oak Ridge. Apparently the massive amount of rain we are experiencing has made hunting mice easier for the cat.
