After recovering him, he and I proceeded to the middle school to pickup the 13 yr old who apparently had a pretty good day and entered one more class. I’m flabbergasted. It sounds like the school is doing what we want them to do!

Posted by djuggler in : Daily Life , add a commentGood News: The $40,000 owed on the student loans will not be making a bad mark on the credit report!
Bad News: We are stuck in the delinquent loans program another 12 months.
Good News: We are paying $100 per month instead of $550!
Bad News: It’s actually like $47,000 because we don’t get to refinance at today’s interest rates.
What happened? Our account handler is no longer with the law firm. Apparently, had we done the reconsolidation through WD Ford that he directed us to do we would have had a $47,000 bad debt showing on our credit report (granted, its only for 7 years but that could have impacted getting a new house, van, etc.) Since the December payment of $550 bounced and we didn’t get it paid by Jan 15 we didn’t qualify for the reconsolidation. The bummer is that the December payment could have been adjusted to $100 and we could have been reconsolidated. Ugh!

Posted by djuggler in : Daily Life , add a commentBack from the school. What a hoot! The two biggest loud mouths in the class were side by side and no one could hear a word they were saying. The 7 yr old was scared quiet. He did a great job! I’m a proud dad. The whole wax museum is a hit!

Posted by djuggler in : Daily Life , add a commentKids up. 7 yr old was snoring hard. Neither seemed to want to get up and were very groggy. Must be the rain. The 20 mth old seemed restless as I went in to get the 10 yr old. Again. The rain. The 13 yr old also seems restless.
How am I feeling? Great! Up until I put this tie on. I think its time to get new shirts. This one seems a little constraining but until I pass out it will do. I should have stretched out this morning. My shoulder in my back feels like it has a knife in it. But I still feel fantastic.

Posted by djuggler in : Daily Life , add a comment“- A banker from Knoxville, Tenn., filed a class action lawsuit against Jackson, dance partner Justin Timberlake, CBS, halftime show producers MTV and the networks’ parent company, Viacom. Terri Carlin said the “sexually explicit conduct” by the performers caused millions of people to “suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury.” ”
Outrage — let’s try “hop on the bandwagon” I really doubt this outraged anyone watching the SuperBowl. It wasn’t on long enough to outrage anyone. I bet the outraged ones were people that did not watch the Superbowl but followed it in the news. If the news had not made such a big deal out of this, then it would have died. Topics for outrage: stupid laws, our failing education system, increased bankrupcies against a backdrop of misappropriated funds in corp america and the government, people that believe a glimpse of a breast causes ’serious injury’ (this banker needs a therapist)
Anger — anger that it wasn’t a longer spot or more revealing
embarrassment — only that the men stared and got caught by their wives
serious injury — WHAT?! The only people seriously injured are going to be the people paying the fines and legal fees for frivolous lawsuits like this one (and maybe that one grip that fell off the stage)
The local article as published in the local Knoxville paper “Carlin’s lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages worth billions. ” Billions? What? Her goals is to put people out of business or drive up the cost of everything we buy?
