Posted by djuggler in : Daily Life , add a commentI remembered something funny. Last night just before 1:45am I had a bizarre dream. I dreamed that no matter which way I flipped in bed that someone was shoving hot dogs under my nose. I was being attacked by hot dogs. It was so ferocious that I woke up. And there was the smell. It permeated everything. I smelled my wife and she smelled like a hotdog. I jumped from bed to find the problem and ran to the wood stove and it smelled like a hotdog. I stuck my nose in the babies crib. She was fine but the smell was there too! I kept following my nose and finally ended up in the kitchen where I recalled the crock pot of navy beans and ham hock. With much relief I checked the water level, stirred the pot and went back to sleep.

Posted by djuggler in : Daily Life , add a comment I’m so proud to live in a state that can’t figure out how to educate my child chosing instead to let him play Star Craft online (unsupervised) in his “spare time” yet they have time, energy and money to legalize the scraping of dead animals off the road for cooking and decide that it’s legal to have an unrestrained dog in the back of a pickup truck.

This Morning
I awoke at 1:45am and stirred the navy beans and hamhock cooking in the crock pot.
I awoke at 3am and stirred the navy beans and hamhock cooking in the crock pot.
I awoke at 5am and removed the bone then stirred the food cooking in the crock pot.
I awoke at 6:07am and decided to get the kids up. I slept on the couch for a few minutes then moved to the computer.
I’m sore. I’m tried. I’m stressed.
