Did the governor get involved in the rezoning? May 4, 2007 9:28 am

I am at a client location so I cannot confirm the information but someone was just asking me for details about the governor stepping up this morning to offer another solution regarding rezoning. Has anyone heard anything similar? Perhaps the person asking the question munged a couple of unrelated news stories.

Sounds like a case of mixing stories to me. I can’t find anything on it now, but I heard this morning that the governor is sympathetic to the big cities (KnoxNashNooga, I guess) budget woes – that we pay taxes to support schools in other (occasionally wealthier) sparser populated counties. Of course that is good news for Knox County, but I doubt it’d affect the zoning. And I doubt that the governor could do anything if he wanted to.
