Got the 7 yr old and 10 yr old loaded up in the car. Drove to the 7 yr old’s friends house, whose step Dad (they make a big deal about the distinguishment there) works for the Knox County Police Department, and the mother came out saying with a smile “Jim saw you in the driveway and was betting you didn’t look at the news. Knox county schools are opening an hour late.” I thanked her. Of course our schools are having a delayed opening. The roads are wet. We can’t have these poor people drive in the rain!

This Morning
* We have SNOW on the ground! (And rain in the air)
* GROGGY. Walls closing in!
* Woke at midnight and rekindled the fire (I think)
* Woke at 3am and rekindled the fire but could not convince myself to stay up. I could have had I not let the evil bed monster grab hold of me. I was energized but once back in bed fell into a deep sleep.
* Woke at 5:45 to the alarm then again at 6:08 when I got the kids up and going. I returned to bed until 6:45. This just isn’t healthy.
Today’s Goals: PROGRAM, finances, resume sent
The Evening
Got the kids fed (breakfast for dinner..one of my favorites! Eggs, toast and sausage). Got some wood chopped. Got the kids to bed. Got to watch Smallville with the wife. Got some programming accomplished. Got a phone call from Mom. Got to get some sleep. Got to get got out of my vocabulary!

I just realized that my sloppy coding habits have had me stuck on a problem for a day! I forgot to issue the command that turns on debugging error messages and I had a capital letter in my query but the name of the table was all lowercase. Ugh!

Done with calls. Called several Walgreens and tracked down the Wonka Fun Dip Valentines. Called Cingular and found that there was an outage over the weekend and our phone troubles were due to the phones needing to be reset. What a waste of time!
