    It’s not the rotation of the earth but the melting of the ice that has caused the change. Imagine living in a valley west of a large mountain and then one day the mountain is gone. Sunrise would come earlier.

    I avoided stealing..er..borrowing Gizmodo’s picture but it explains what has happened so well that I’ve added the picture to this post.
