A bout of insomnia left me with only 4 hours of sleep last night. However, I’m caffeinated and focused on getting resumes and cover letters written. Resumes and cover letters are not my forte.

Ready to hit the ground running
Me: “This will be a productive day!”
Internet: “eh, about that. I’m down right now.”
WooCommerce fun
Today I’m working through applying a Mega Menu to a Storefront theme in WordPress’ WooCommerce.
8.5 hours later… I’m rather pleased with the changes to the site today.
It’s Tuesday
Today is all about WordPress and WooCommerce.
It’s Monday
Doing a security audit on myself and decided that perhaps I should update some of those passwords I haven’t changed in 15 or more years.
I’ve begun watching non-English television
I just watched “Beyond the Infinite Two Minutes” and despite not speaking Japanese I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great story. Well acted. Great cinematography. And it appears to have been completely filmed on…iPhones! I need to start practicing kanji again. If you watch it, hang in for the credits to see how they filmed some scenes.
Success!
My development environment is working again for PHP. Next step: lunch then setup automated testing and deployment.
It’s Sunday
What am doing? Continuing to work on my dev environment on my Macbook. When I replaced my dying hard drive and upgraded to macOS Big Sur, my development environment quit working. Yesterday I ran brew doctor and actually evaluated the errors. Turns out my Mac was stuck on an update. After cleaning up LaunchDaemons and LaunchAgents (yes, I was running 4 antivirus packages), clearing some caches, reseting some plists, and rebooting, I was able to install the OS update, brew upgrades, and new command line tools. Today I continue to get my development environment functioning optimally as well as installing some automated testing and deployment tools.
Tonight our 12 person crew has a wrap up meeting to discuss the good and the bad of the 14 day trip we took out west that included 4 days near the Grand Tetons in Curtis Campground and 9 days in the back country of the Bridger-Teton Wind River Range that took us to 11,000 feet above sea level and hiking in snow in July.
Today’s book: “Clean Code – A Handbook of Agile Software Craftsmanship” by Robert C. Martin
No echoes
The people I want to talk to are all gone.
Yup. Don’t need this book anymore

Another book to let go
Just don’t think Cathy and I need this anymore.

Someone paid $19.95 for a book of royalty free pictures

Cleaning and found this magazine one to this page…don’t think I need this anymore

Anyone need a copy of Reader Rabbit for your Windows 95 or Windows 3.1 pc?

Time to let it go
For the life of me, I have no idea why I’m holding onto this book.
