Quad I or IV? November 7, 2004 12:23 am
Posted by djuggler in : Daily LifeSo I’m using a Quad I task to disguise my Quad IV actions under the rationalization that the Quad IV must happen before the Quad I can. It is making me feel good but I really need some sleep.

Styling Your Site with Abbreviations and Acronyms November 6, 2004 8:29 am
Posted by djuggler in : Daily LifeI just wrote an article for Spy Journal Blog Tips discussing how to use <abbr> and <acronym> as Terreus frequestly does. I’ll slip into one of the seven deadly sins and exude a little pride in the write-up and encourage each of you to take a look.
I highly recommend anyone doing any time of web publishing get a decent an html quick reference (amz).
Brisk November 6, 2004 6:55 am
Posted by djuggler in : Daily LifeIt’s 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4° C) outside right now. Very crisp. There is a small sliver of ultra bright white moon in the sky. The stars are extra sharp and out in mass. The sky seems clear of all pollution and obstruction. As I walked the inlaw’s dog (here for the weekend), I could not keep my eyes from gazing at the sky. It felt as though I could reach up and pluck stars from the darkness.
I love it when the air feels so crisp! I am not so thrilled when the heat pump goes out as it noisily did last night.

Tommy and Noah fixing a couple of computer monitors for me. I think they missed something because after their handwork the monitors didn’t do much.

Posted by djuggler in : Daily LifeI just had the most interesting phone call.
Woman on phone: “Hello?”
Me: “Hello.”
Woman: “Hello?”
Me: “Hello!”
Woman: “Hello? Is there anybody there?”
Me: Frustrated with Cingular, desperately moving phone to try to get better signal. “Yes, I’m here. Can you hear me now?!”
Woman: “Hello?” Click.
Voicemail Computer Voice: “If you would like to delete this message, press 7. To Save it, press 9.”
Yes, I was was really checking my messages on a call from 10 hours ago.

A New Day! Let’s start the day off with a PayPa… November 5, 2004 7:56 am
Posted by djuggler in : Daily LifeA New Day!
Let’s start the day off with a PayPal donation link:
This Morning
I’m a bit stressed today. I really need to not go into the office and work on other focuses but we have to deliver today. It’s like all my milestones are falling on the same day. We have soccer tonight and guests arriving tonight to boot. The guests will be in the mountains and have said they won’t come by until Sunday but last time we had a surprise visit on Saturday. My wonderful wife has been working so hard to get the house in order.
I need a couple of new monitors downstairs. The two I have are getting so dark that at times I can barely read them. That has to be impacting my productivity.

This Morning
What a great start to the day! I woke at 3am with energy but went back to bed. Considered getting up at 4 and finally rose at 5:30 to bathe and get ready before the kids. Got Tommy up and bathed and now he wanders the house reeling in the pleasure of not having to groggily rush out the door.
It’s raining outside. I’d rather not drive into the office today. I’m torn. I have so much to do and so little time! Throw in complications like meetings and appointments. Monday evening: soccer
Tuesday evening: —-
Wednesday evening: STAR
Thursday evening: Scouts
Friday evening: soccer
Saturday evening: —-
Sunday evening: D&D for Tommy
I should be working like a 16 hour day. 24 hours in the day. Minus 2 hours for each evening event leaves 22 hours. Minus 2 hours in the morning getting the kids off to school leaves 20 hours. Minus 8 hours sleep leaves 12 hours. Wait a minute. That should be less. Minus 5 hours sleep leaves 15 hours. Minus 2 hours for driving and other unexpected things. Leaves 13 hours. Minus 1 hour for preparing and eatting dinner in the evenings leaves 12 hours. Minus 1 hour for lunch bathroom breaks etc leaves 11 hours. That’s not bad. I should be able to accomplish a lot in 11 hours.

Posted by djuggler in : Daily LifeNicky makes a good point. Let’s not talk politics anymore. Our path for the next four years has been laid however we need not allow our civil liberties to be swept out from underneath us. A call to all Americans regardless of party views! Step up to the plate. For the next 4 years (and hopefully the rest of your life), write letters, make phone calls, send emails and be a part of the political process. When legislation is proposed, make your views known! Be an active American not a passive one!

I was speechless.

Sr: “Son. I don’t think you have what it takes.”

GW: “I’m gonna lose! This ain’t right.”
