Bank went negative on Friday while I sat on a $75 …

Bank went negative on Friday while I sat on a $75 insurance check. Immediately incurred $5 (transfer fee from overdraft) + $12 (continuous overdraft fee for Sat and Sun) + $6 (continuous overdraft fee for yesterday) totaling $23 in fees so far.

No foreseeable income in the near future. The projects I have won’t pay by Friday. Immediate expenses:

Power company $550 by Friday or they shut us off

Car insurance overdue $120 (in our state I think the penalty for driving without insurance is that you lose your license for a year…which just means we end up with a bunch of unlicensed and uninsured people driving around)

Telephone by Friday $140

Garbage service $90

One company threatening lawsuit to collect $600-1000

There are others but this is depressing. How does anyone ever get out from a situation like this? I know. I know. Get a job. Damn it’s said that done!

This is obviously all my fault and all within my control but at same time it is so overwhelming and overpowering.

Back to coding.

A New Day! Let’s start the day off with a PayPa…

A New Day!

Let’s start the day off with a PayPal donation link:

This Morning

I want cameras in my house!

Woke this morning at 6am and walked the dog. Of course she eventually got bored and started to yip so I brought her inside with intent to take her right back out. Instead I got to brewing my coffee and she made her a breakfast snack. Fortunately I stopped her before she chowed down too much. After I get a paycheck from somewhere I’m going to lease her for 3 days and she is going to remain by my side until she learns that stuff goes outside!

I had intended to have a snack with the wife and when she started to drift off I was going to work through the nite. Blast if I didn’t fall asleep! At least I woke earlier than usual.

Education

I suppose our schools could be worse: School’s lessons full of errors

Lockyer said the curriculum consisted of a slim workbook riddled with errors, including:

  • The United States has 53 states but the “flag has not yet been updated to reflect the addition of the last three states” — Hawaii, Alaska and Puerto Rico.
  • World War II began in 1938 and ended in 1942.
  • There are two houses of Congress — the Senate and the House, and “one is for Democrats and the other is for the Republicans, respectively.”

Presidential Outsourcing

OUTSOURCING JOBS REACHES NEW HEIGHTS

Congress today announced that the Office of President of the United States will be outsourced to overseas interests as of September 30th, the end of this fiscal year. The move is being made to save $400K a year in salary, a record $521 Billion in deficit expenditures and related overhead. “The cost savings will be quite significant” …
“I am excited to serve in this position,” Mr. Singh stated in an exclusive interview. “Working nights will let me keep my day job at the American Express call center. I always knew I could be President someday.”

Well Spoken Bush

President does comedy and scores laughs

ok. Our news casters wear earpieces so that the director, producer et al can speak into their ear. Shouldn’t our president have advisers speaking directly into his head? Perhaps just enough to say, “Ok George! Shutup!”

Of course I could see him holding his head nodding, noddling, say ‘yes. ok. that’s good’ then addressing the crowd “my answer is….” Then saying something like, “No, all my thoughts are my own.”
