For years I’ve said, “Money is a tool. Time is a commodity.” Yet I continue to trade time for money without putting my money to work to get more time. This working for a living really steals time away from the things I want to be doing.

Republican Friends Please Read This October 16, 2024 10:59 am

Dear Republican friends,

Before you vote, take a good hard look at your party. It doesn’t exist anymore. Today’s Democrat party is closer in values to the GOP you romanticize. Your Republican party has been usurped by a group of treasonous crooks who do not understand how to govern.

Please consider voting blue down the ballot. Send a message to your party that you want to return to your conservative values and do not support the MAGA extremism.

There is no Democrat versus Republican ballot. Republicans have been replaced with MAGA terrorists. Do not allow this to continue.

Cathy: “May I ask you a question?”

Me: “Sure.”

Cathy: “Were your pants unzipped the whole time you were out and about?”

….

In other news, I’m not allowed out of the house any more.

At some point, the hole becomes so deep you give up on trying to dig out of the hole instead focusing on just staying above the water coming in from the bottom.

To keep myself mentally strong, I do Mathopolis’ Question of the Day from grade 1 through calculus. Often I surprise myself by missing the earlier grades. Usually it is because I rushed through it without reading the question or really thinking about the answer Today I missed the 6th grade question.

I’m looking for a receipt without luck. My effort has turned into basement archeology. I love basement archeology. Piles I have ignored for years are being removed. Organization is happening. Stuff is being thrown away. Memories are being uncovered.

Today’s hypnagogia brought thoughts of focus and success. I woke with a commitment to stay off the socials and simply focus on work. Then, technical problems, fountain pen messes, and TPS reports. So, maybe a productive afternoon?
