The 7 year old girl left a few minutes ago for 3 days of adventure at Girl Scout Camp Tanasi. They are both thrilled. I wish I could be with them to see their happiness, watch them work through their fears and learning, hear their giggles, and to get some camping in myself. I know they will both have a fantastic time!

I gave Ed my son’s hardback boy scout manual (with a cover) from a few years ago (I bought it for him when he received his Arrow of Light). I told him to give it to a scout who could use it but perhaps that scout may be his son, lol.
I’m just saying, an evil atheist donated to your troop.
You’re comments always make me smile or laugh out loud! You know, the BSA will want to burn that book now right?
Yay for Camp Tanasi! I hate that they did away with the week long camp. I heard that some parents were sending their kids ALL summer for child care. I just can’t imagine (the separation AND the cost)! Seems they could have made a rule against the number of times registering without ruining the experience for others.
I didn’t realize they’d done away with the week long camp. Amy’s group is too young so they are only doing a short trip.
