It took a lot of staring, but after careful consideration, I believe there are 5 women, not 32, in the naked women with chainsaws cutting down trees picture. When I first looked at the picture, for some reason I didn’t see their boots.

I forget people read these things
They are called blogs. It’s some bizarre contraction of a made up compound word "weblog." Get it? A log on the web. Like a journal or chronographic permanent record of events. That’s what differentiates a weblog from a website. The blog aspect is regularly updated with dated, possibly time sensitive information. As a web developer, blogs bothered me. When the term caught on I’d shake my head and cry out, "it’s just a website with frequent updates!"
Today, weblogs have become quintessential marketing tools. People often create blogs along with social media campaigns with the sole intention of highlighting their products. From this aspect, I blog entirely wrong. It would be easy to create a blog and only showoff or highlight certain aspects of my skillset but then that is not why I do this. None-the-less, successful blogs do focus on a niche or a consistency because people like that. I read certain blogs but I come to expect a particular style or a type of information delivered from their format. I gain something from that. My niche? Random factoids peppered with bits of my family life and coated with a healthy helping of bemoaning my stress levels? Eh? Meh even. Perhaps its time for a blog facelift!

32 naked women with chainsaws
As a Scout leader, one of my biggest concerns for the young scouts is accidentally running into 32 naked women cutting down trees (NSFW). No child should witness the horror of a healthy tree being killed!
Update: After careful consideration, I believe there are only 5 women in this picture.

Jumpcut.com shutting down!
I had a bothersome email this morning alerting me that Jumpcut is closing its doors. Why was this bothersome? Mainly because I didn’t know what Jumpcut was nor did I realize I had an account…but sure enough I do!

Rare East Coast rocket launch tonight at 7:35
Launch currently scheduled for 7:35pm tonight.Launch completed successfully! No sign of it in the sky from Knoxville but live stream was beautiful. Friend in Delaware was able to see the 2nd stage separation.NASA is again going to attempt to launch an Air Force Minotaur I rocket carrying the Air Force Research Laboratory’s TacSat-3 satellite, NASA’s PharmaSat microsatellite, and NASA’s CubeSat Technology Demonstration experiments, which includes three four-inch cubed satellites, developed by universities and industry. [Source] The launch will be from the NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia. I read that if the skies are clear, the launch will be visible up to 800 miles away (but I could be misinformed). Knoxville is roughly 450 miles as the crow flies. If you don’t want to leave the house, NASA has the most exceptional webcasts available. The Wallops launch is already streaming live. Chasing that early bird
I like to get up early. I accomplish a lot and the sound of near silence plus chirping birds is very appealing to me. However, I don’t do it often anymore. I’ve become a 6am riser although today I scored 5am. I went to bed at midnight and almost rose from bed at 2am. But almost only counts in horseshoes and hand grenades.
