Kidnapper kills

Body of missing girl found We knew this is how it would end. So, how do I protect my own children? Would my 10 year old simply comply to a firm grip and walk away to never be seen alive again? I would hope not! We should not be faced with having to taint the pure minds of children with these kinds of discussions but the only way to prevent these types of crimes is to prepare our children for the possibility.

Perhaps if we put prozac into the water we could save minds and lives like fluoridation saved teeth.

Kids up. 7 yr old was snoring hard. Neither seemed to want to get up and were very groggy. Must be the rain. The 20 mth old seemed restless as I went in to get the 10 yr old. Again. The rain. The 13 yr old also seems restless.

How am I feeling? Great! Up until I put this tie on. I think its time to get new shirts. This one seems a little constraining but until I pass out it will do. I should have stretched out this morning. My shoulder in my back feels like it has a knife in it. But I still feel fantastic.

Get over Janet!

Janet Jackson Stunt May Impact Standards Please people! We have better things to be doing.

“- A banker from Knoxville, Tenn., filed a class action lawsuit against Jackson, dance partner Justin Timberlake, CBS, halftime show producers MTV and the networks’ parent company, Viacom. Terri Carlin said the “sexually explicit conduct” by the performers caused millions of people to “suffer outrage, anger, embarrassment and serious injury.” ”

Outrage — let’s try “hop on the bandwagon” I really doubt this outraged anyone watching the SuperBowl. It wasn’t on long enough to outrage anyone. I bet the outraged ones were people that did not watch the Superbowl but followed it in the news. If the news had not made such a big deal out of this, then it would have died. Topics for outrage: stupid laws, our failing education system, increased bankrupcies against a backdrop of misappropriated funds in corp america and the government, people that believe a glimpse of a breast causes ‘serious injury’ (this banker needs a therapist)

Anger — anger that it wasn’t a longer spot or more revealing

embarrassment — only that the men stared and got caught by their wives

serious injury — WHAT?! The only people seriously injured are going to be the people paying the fines and legal fees for frivolous lawsuits like this one (and maybe that one grip that fell off the stage)

The local article as published in the local Knoxville paper “Carlin’s lawsuit seeks compensatory and punitive damages worth billions. ” Billions? What? Her goals is to put people out of business or drive up the cost of everything we buy?

Haynes Sex Manual Anyone that’s ever worked on a car has held a Haynes Manual. Now Haynes brings you The Sex Manual I saw this on -terreus- and his text was so perfect that I want to duplicate it here.

Most sex is of the recreational variety, which is just as well or there would be even more people on the planet. Few people will admit to a lack of expertise, but as with driving there is always scope to improve on the basic technique. And also as with driving, sex is an activity which brings pleasure when skilfully exercised but can be dangerous if the risks are ignored.

The Haynes Sex Manual contains:

  • Step-by-step instructions for safer and more enjoyable sex
  • Unique advice on sex in cars, backed up by real-life stories
  • Written from hands-on experience by a well-known healthcare professional
  • Colour fault finding charts for fast diagnosis of sex-related conditions

As you would expect from Haynes, this manual contains detailed explanations of how the relevant parts work and fit together, what happens if they don’t, and what you can do about it.

The manual will enable you to:

  • maintain your tackle in optimum condition prevent corrosion of vital parts
  • understand your partner’s desires
  • decide when to call in professional assistance

Some humor

Courtesy of Victoria:

“For all those men who say, ‘Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?’ Here’s an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it’s not worth buying an entire pig, just to get a little sausage.”

Rain Rain Rain

A New Day!

Let’s start the day off with a PayPal donation link:

This Morning

* Woke at 3am. Realized I definitely did not split enough wood to weather us through the day much less the bad weather that we are to face through the weekend. It’s going to get really cold so I guess I’m going to be chopping wood in the rain or snow.

* Am wide awake. Now I could go back to sleep although I don’t need to but I used to be able to sleep sitting up, maybe standing, and once fell asleep in a tree.

Let’s make something of today!

Da Evening

The scout meeting was interesting. I’m bothered because 1) I don’t feel I’m working hard enough with my son on his scouting and 2) he’s earned a badge and not received it for 3 meetings despite reminders. Sometimes I feel singled out. I had that feeling tonight like I had in my early teens. I had just moved to New Orleans and suddenly I had no history but everyone else had history since they’d known each other for years. I was invited to hang out and play with the other kids but I never really felt a part of the other kids. I always felt like the outsider. Years later I realized I was just being neurotic.

So, am I being neurotic again? Or am I in the wrong tax bracket? Do I not give enough to the community or play the right politics? Or did I really get a hex put on me by some voodoo queen when I was living down in New Orleans and now my family is having to suffer through some twisted ironic luck because it isn’t bad luck; it’s alway “ironic.”

Time for bed.
