Immediate Knoxville Referral Needed: Climbing Instructor March 7, 2008 9:30 pm

Our Boy Scout troop meets Monday nights. This coming Monday, we had an instructor arranged to come in, show the boys some equipment, talk about safety, and so forth for 20-30 minutes. Our meetings in March are supposed to be focused on climbing so that our camping trip in April can be to do some outdoor rock climbing. Our instructor has a conflict. So on 2 days notice, I need to find someone that could talk about rock climbing, equipment, and safety for 20-30 minutes. Any suggestions? Email or call.

Amy: "Dad, don’t you have a place where you work?"
Me: "I work in our basement."
Amy: "No, I mean like a place with lots of people."
Me: "I work by myself."
Amy: "Well, that’s how lots of people work. With lots of people."

Why did Hillary Clinton win Texas? March 5, 2008 9:35 am

Why did Hillary Clinton win the Texas Democrat Primary? Because 98,223 (or more) Republicans had to vote for somebody!

By strategically voting Democratic in the Texas primary, I’ve joined the ranks of Texans who are not voting to secure a Republican nominee (since that has pretty much already been decided).

But rather, we have voted with the strategy to cause as much chaos within the Democratic party by intentionally voting for someone we do NOT want to win the presidential election, but who would be the more viable option to run against in the end.

Source, Cynical Rantings

Hat tip to Tim.

Update: Daily Kos presents evidence the Republicans are gaming the Democratic convention.
