If you want to help with the software installation for the seniors graduation party call me 898 7189
Barry came to our rescue! He sacrificed his own family time so that we could be with our relatives visiting for Tommy’s graduation. Barry spent another 1.5-2 hours on the computers after Cathy and I left and he’d been with us at least a half an hour. We owe Barry a huge debt! I cannot express my gratitude enough.

I made her stammer May 16, 2008 10:54 am

Apparently I’ve been entered into a contest to win $100,000. I simply had to answer some demographic questions. The first hiccup in the call was a refusal to answer a question about monthly income but we got beyond that. However, when the operator happily told me that she’d be sending me some free magazines, I interrupted with "I’m an environmentalist and don’t want them. I read everything online" she stammered. Apparently the script wasn’t ready for that answer. Her next statement of "well, can’t argue with not killing trees" had enough fake tone to let me see over the phoneline her twirling her finger beside her ear. Her supervisor will be calling back to give me some free gas. Sure.

Mothers worth less today than two years ago May 15, 2008 9:29 pm

According to Salary.com, if stay-at-home Moms got paid for their work, they’d be worth $116,805. This is surprising because two years ago the same group showed stay-at-home moms to be worth $134,121. That’s $17,316 less than two years ago! Could it be that the quality of parenting has decreased that much? I can afford my wife much easier now than I could before!

To reach the projected pay figures, the survey calculated the earning power of the 10 jobs respondents said most closely comprise a mother’s role — housekeeper, day-care teacher, cook, computer operator, laundry machine operator, janitor, facilities manager, van driver, chief executive and psychologist.
