More on Firefly Season 2

Joss Whedon has never heard of Ace Underhill.

Underhill said in an interview: “If [Joss] contacts me and says, ‘Hey, we’re not interested in Firefly anymore’ or ‘I’m not interested in Firefly anymore,’ then I will abandon the project

Underhill wants to do a pay per view model. That would be downloads to video ipod, pay per view television, etc. That model concerns me that the success would be limited.

Underhill added that he has contacted members of the Firefly/Serenity cast and had received a few rate quotes from agents, but he declined to say who. He acknowledged that he had not yet heard from Firefly/Serenity star Nathan Fillion.

The Browncoats have a discussion on this topic. Could be Underhill is just trying, and successfully, to get press for his company. I mentioned Underhill’s effort on Jan 23. See other Firefly posts.

Which way did he go? Following Lost (Jorge Garcia)

I was tickled to see Hurley (Jorge Garcia) on Becker last night! On Becker he played Hector Lopez (2003-2004).

Looks like he’s scored himself a movie for 2006! Sweetzer is a comedy that was in post-production on Sept 7 2005. Jorge gets third billing as the character Sergio.

Wow! Lost has done him well for the talk show scene.

Amanda Congdon Naked

I’ve been encouraging people to check out Rocketboom and Wednesday I posted The Right Way To Do A Video Blog. In the process I discovered Amanda Congdon has her own wikipedia entry. I also discovered this amusing post by Alec Muffett who analyzed his server logfiles to people visiting him looking for Amanda Congdon information with 29% of them trying to find her naked.

So that’s 192 people searching for information about Ms Congdon, 29% of whom are searching along with the word “naked”.

Alec offers these words:

Mmm. Grow up, you pitiful nerds.
Learn to appreciate people for what they are and what they do.

And if you are new to Rocketboom, I highly recommend the Sept 27, 2005 show.

Lost’s Biggest Mystery

In February we learn ‘why is Hurley still fat?’ after 50 days on the island!

In an e-mail, co-creator/executive producer Damon Lindelof and executive producer Carlton Cuse gave this teasing reply:”Hurley’s inability to lose any significant weight, like many other things on the island, is shrouded in mystery. That mystery, however, will be definitively solved during February sweeps… well, as definitively as anything ever gets solved on ‘Lost,’ anyway.”

The right way to do a video blog

Know thy Amanda! I believe everyone’s introduction to Rocketboom should be the Sept 27, 2005 episode. That’s my personal favorite episode and the day I started watching.

Rocketboom is a three minute daily videoblog based in New York City. We cover and create a wide range of information and commentary from top news stories to quirky internet culture. Agenda includes releasing each new clip at 9am EST, Monday through Friday. With a heavy emphasis on international arts, technology and weblog drama, Rocketboom is presented via online video and widely distributed through RSS.

I give this program a high recommendation! I read in the comments that Amanda Congdon actually interviewed for the partnership position.

In February Amanda will play herself on CSI! She is graced with her own wikipedia entry. Their show went from a 700 person viewership in 2004 to 70,000 in just 10 months! For the true fans, she also has a blog.

Wednesdays, my favorite worst day

Wednesdays are Lost
Work is Lost to the children’s needs
Lost as a taxi service
Preschool, preschool, high school, STAR
Time Lost to the kids is precious
On Wednesdays I am in paradise, Lost
In the island of my mind, I am Lost
Lost in self-flagellation and meditation
I so look forward to Wednesdays
My favorite times have always been Lost times
I would not trade my Lost Wednesdays for anything
Best of all, Wednesdays end with Lost

“I can’t do this all on my own. No, I know, I’m no Superman!
