Windows bug causes problems with FileZilla
I have this bizarre problem trying to connect to my client’s ftp server from my workstation. I can’t! But I can shell into my linux server and ftp to the client server just fine. I wonder if it has anything to do with this bug:

American Red Cross Tornado Blog
The American Red Cross (ARC) has set up a website in response to the Tennessee tornadoes. I learned this because I follow @Redcross on Twitter as you should.
This site is for public information about the American Red Cross response to the Tennessee tornadoes of February 2008. [Source, Tennessee Tornadoes, American Red Cross] [more info]
They had a similar site for Northwest Flooding 2007. If you are looking for loved ones or have been displaced by a disaster, please use the Safe and Well List to help inform family and friends. Safe and Well is easily accessible through your phone using Twitter.

Rocky Hill polling packed
I was pressed for time on that post. Didn’t want to cross the 100′ barrier and sound like I was reporting something.
At the time I made that post (4:30pm), the staff reported that roughly 800 people had been through those polls.
Dear US citizens
Go Vote! Today is important!
Today is Election Day! Make the time to vote please! We have all seen that everybody’s vote counts. Voting is a civic duty and is important to the democratic process. (For the asinine Stacey Campfields out there, "democratic" is not to be confused with the Democratic political party. Until fear mongering, constitution shredding, AT&Tism, and Homeland Security improprieties in the name of protecting your freedoms, completely erode it, you live under a democratic form of government. Specifically, the United States of America is a Representative Liberal Democracy.)
I also encourage you to print your sample ballot and, at the bare minimum, do an Internet search on the candidates you will be choosing. To go the polls and vote on someone because their name rings a bell, or one name sounds better than another is not helping anyone’s cause. Your wild guess may knock a potentially good candidate out of office. If you are in Knox County, your sample ballot is online. Print it, spend a few minutes researching your candidates, and vote knowledgeably! Remember, your employer is obliged to give you time off to go to the polls.

Those Jugglers Hurt Me!
My legs still burn! I have not moved so much in ages. I suppose this means I really should exercise more.
Monday Smack Down
Today was fairly productive but I feel like I have just as much to do as I have already gotten done. I feel beat up.
Happy Birthday Sis!
My little sister turns 21 today! I remember Dad announcing her. We had just moved to Germantown TN. Each of our moves was prefaced with Dad announcing at the dinner table, "boys, we’re going to move." So when the tension at the dinner table grew and Dad started in with "boys, …" I started wondering where we might be going and why so soon. When he finished with "…your mother is pregnant" I kept waiting for the punchline. Not long after that, my sister was in the nursery around the corner from my bedroom and I would wake multiple times a night to go watch her breath dreading the horrid "crib death." I really liked the new addition to the family and looked forward to being a positive influence on her. A year later I was off to college and I blink my eyes and she’s in college!
Happy Birthday Kelly! Have yourself an adult beverage or two to celebrate but keep this video in mind:
p.s. Sorry about that dirty diaper I refused to change for 45 minutes when I was babysitting you.
